Euro 2012: Previewing Czech Republic-Portugal

Thursday’s game: Czech Republic vs. Portugal – 2:45 p.m. ET Czech Republic (+465), Portugal (-150), Draw (+265) With the dramatic group stage in the rearview mirror, we now shift to the knockout stages. Eight teams remain — the top two from each group. Although one team will advance and one team will lose, the game is considered a draw if it goes into penalty kicks after 90 minutes of regulation and two 15-minute periods of extra time. That’s why you can still bet on a draw. There always is the option to bet on one of the two teams in pick-em, if you prefer. The Czechs began the tournament with a thud, falling 4-1 to Russia. They quickly rebounded with two early goals against Greece and held on for the win. On the final matchday, the Czechs earned a 1-0 over host Poland and Russia’s upset loss to Greece assured the group’s top spot for the Czech Republic. They won the group despite a negative goal differential. After the thumping in the opening game, Czech coach Michal Bilek has made great defensive adjustments. College Football Week Two Odds, Part One

 We’ve talked Week One odds to death already. We looked at every game, shopped and compared the odds at different books and even made a pick. Although, lets be honest. Mackinder will have all sorts of treadmarks all over his back if the Irish roll Navy in the opener. So we’re done with Week One for now. Besides, its silly to keep looking at old odds when we have a boatload of new odds to rap about thanks to the Golden Nugget releasing all those games of the year last week. Lets take the next chronological step and break down the Week Two odds on the Nugget’s board. There are nine games, so instead of one big post, I’m breaking this into three posts. I’ll have something on the games with the Big 10 teams and the two SEC conference head-to-heads in later posts. Today, some thoughs on the other five.
